Flagship Products
FIB-DM.com
The FIBO Data Model is primarily designed for mid-sized Financial Institutions (FIs) that want to leverage the industry standard. FIB-DM offers a download for the open-source version of the model, along with extensive educational materials. FIB-UM.com, the Universal Model, is an extension of FIB-DM, showcasing migrations of native SAP PowerDesigner files to other data modeling tools.
CODT.net
The technology that transforms the industry-standard ontology into a data model is designed for larger financial institutions (FIs) that want to derive data models from their customized FIBO and other ontologies.
Ontologies (legacy*)
The Financial Regulation Ontologies (FinRegOnt) and their importing subdomain ontologies — Bank, Fund, Hedge Fund, and Insurance Ontology — have open-source extensions of FIBO.
Regarding FIB-DM, all websites feature a scope of the FIBO Data Model for their respective domain, including the Financial Regulation Data Model, as well as models for Banking, Securities, Derivatives, Insurance, and Investment Funds.
* I first presented the Financial Regulation Ontologies at the FIBO conferences in 2017 and 2018, and many professionals considered them too far ahead of their time. The client’s interest lies in the data model, and I no longer consult on Semantic Compliance® or provide support for the open-source RDF/OWL.
However, there is a strong interest in extending Ontology Networks to incorporate CODT-generated data models. Therefore, the legacy websites may reactivate soon.
